What do I need to get a card?
INFORMATION ON APPLICATION: Signature in ink; address; phone numbers; e-mail address; place of business; proof of address or property ownership (TXDL, utility bill, or tax statement, etc.); Texas driver’s license number; and date of birth. Minors require signature of one parent and their parent’s Texas driver’s license number and date of birth.

Do I have to live in Grapevine to get a card?
Cards are free for Grapevine residents, but non-residents may get a card for an annual annual fee of $25. Property owners in Grapevine may get a free library card with a current Grapevine property tax bill. GCISD teachers may also get a free card with school ID.

How old do you have to be to get a card?
Grapevine children ages 5 to 17 may be issued a free library card with parent/guardian permission and signature.

Do I need a card to use the computers?
No, non-residents and visitors may request a guest pass to use library computers with access to our digital services for 90 days. Guest passes may be renewed for an additional 90 days after expiration. A valid photo ID is required to receive a guest pass.

Is there a charge for a replacement card?
Yes, the cost is $1.
6.
Can I still check out books without my library card?
Yes, you may use your driver’s license to check out.

My kids go to a Grapevine school. Can they get a free library card?
If your child does not live in Grapevine an annual $25 non-resident fee is charged.
8.
Does the library participate in TexShare?
We do not participate in TexShare. However, we do provide access to TexShare databases which include business resources, health and medical resources, and much more.
9.
Do I need a library card to access WiFi?
No. There is no password. The network name is library_guest.
