Each individual soliciting in the City of Grapevine is required to obtain a photo permit and must display their permit at all times. Failure to show proof of a solicitor’s permit is a violation of Chapter 17 of the Grapevine Code of Ordinances. Solicitor permits are issued by the City Secretary’s Office in conjunction with the Grapevine Police Department. 

Door-to-Door Solicitors

• Sundays 
• Any federally designated holiday 

• Misrepresent the purpose of the peddling or solicitation.
• Misrepresent the affiliation of those engaged in the peddling or solicitation.
• Continue efforts to peddle to or solicit from an individual once that individual informs the peddler/solicitor that he does not wish to give anything to or to buy anything from that peddler/solicitor.
• Solicit without wearing an orange traffic safety vest.  
• Represent the issuance of any permit under this chapter as an endorsement or recommendation of the peddling or solicitation.
• No peddling or soliciting at any address or building which has posted a "No Peddlers" or "No Solicitors" sign.
• Act in any manner that is contrary to local, State, or Federal law.
• Peddle or solicit at any address listed on the City's "Do-Not-Solicit List."  Do-Not Solicit list

Ice Cream Vendors

• Sundays
• Any federally designated holiday

• Mobile ice cream trucks are permitted to vend in an area for no more than 15 minutes, then they must move to another location.
• Mobile ice cream vending is prohibited within the City of Grapevine parks.
• Mobile ice cream trucks shall not vend within one block of any block containing an elementary or junior high school (middle school) during school hours or within one hour before or after school hours on a day that school is scheduled to be in session.
• Mobile ice cream trucks shall not vend within 100 feet from an intersection.
