GRAPEVINE RECYCLES DAY

In association with Texas Recycles Day, the City of Grapevine and Keep Grapevine Beautiful will host an event to collect Recyclables at the Municipal Service Center, 501 Shady Brook Drive.

COVID-19 Details:  This year's Grapevine Recycles Day will be a non-contact, self-service event.  Residents will be required to unload their own materials and place them at the appropriate areas.  Please DO NOT bring items you cannot remove from your vehicle yourself.  We also ask that you follow COVID-19 Guidelines regarding face coverings and maintaining social distancing from those who are not in your party. 

Acceptable Items include:
  • Paper Shredding (limit of 5 "office" boxes or 200 lbs)
  • Styrofoam (clean, white packing foam and packing peanuts)
  • Cell phones and PDAs
  • Eye Glasses & Hearing Aids
  • Appliances
  • Electronics
  • Batteries
  • Metal
  • Ink Jet/Toner cartridges
  • Tires
  • Donation Items (Clothes, Shoes & Reuse Items)
  • Food Donations
  • Toy Donations
  • Fire Extinguishers
Items that will NOT be accepted are:
- MATTERESSES

- HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE
(paint, oil, pesticide/herbicides, etc.), NO LIQUIDS of any kind, unknown waste, ammunition/explosives, closed cylinders (i.e.,propane tanks), medical waste, radioactive material, commercial or business waste.

- LIGHT BULBS (Flourescent, Compact Flourescent and LED)

COST:
One Canned or Dry Food item is requested; however, this event is provided free of charge to Grapevine residents.


DONATIONS:

FOOD: - Canned and dry foods will be collected for families in need at this event. Goods will be distributed by GRACE.

TOYS: - The City of Grapevine Police Department will accept (new only) unwrapped toys at the event. New toy donations are administered through the Santa Cop program.
