TEX Rail Commuter Rail

TEXRail is a new 27-mile commuter rail line that will extend from downtown Fort Worth, across northeast Tarrant County, through North Richland Hills and Grapevine, and into DFW International Airport’s Terminal B. This line, which will begin service in late 2018, is projected to serve more than 8,000 daily riders at nine stations by the end of the first year of operation. By 2035, nearly 14,000 riders are projected to ride the system.

The new rail service will be operated by the Fort Worth Transportation Authority. The new service will consist of nine stations including two here in Grapevine. The existing station at Main & Hudgins is being reconfigured and renovated to serve the Vintage Railroad and TEXRail. In addition a second station is being constructed just east of Dallas and Texan Trail just before the train heads south into DFW Airport.

Initial service is expected to begin in late 2018. For more information on the service, be sure to visit TEXRail (www.texrail.com).
