Disaster Supply Kit

Disaster Supply KitDuring a disaster it could take up to 72 hours for emergency response personnel to reach you. If your power is out do you have access to food and water? If you are injured do you have a first aid kit on hand? A disaster supply kit collects all of your survival supplies in one place to allow for quick response and self-sufficiency for up to 72 hours until help arrives.

Disaster supply kits do not need to be put together all at once, but it is important to start preparing now. Begin with the supplies that you have on hand at your home and add supplies to the kit over time. Important items to include in your disaster supply kit are:
• Non-perishable food
• Water: 1 gallon per person, per day
• First aid supplies and daily medications
• Hygiene items
• Battery operated radio
• Flashlight
• Hand tools
• Comfort items
• Pet supplies
