Dispatch

The 911 Communications Center answers all incoming 911 and non-emergency calls for service, then dispatches the appropriate police, fire, EMS, or animal services personnel.

The Communications Center operates 24 hours a day and is staffed by: 

  • Communications Supervisor 
  • Three Dispatch Supervisors 
  • Fourteen Dispatchers 

Dispatchers are responsible for:

  • Answering nine incoming 9-1-1 Emergency lines 
  • Answering twelve non-emergency lines 
  • Dispatching Police and Fire Units 
  • Monitoring six radio channels, including the State Wide Interoperability Channel 
  • Processing data from Texas Crime Information Center and National Crime Information Center

Grapevine Dispatch is part of the Tarrant County 911 District, which includes over three dozen member cities and entities.
